Here is a picture of our class during Thesis critique. You can see me on the left standing in front of my book, “Dream Symbolism” as well as an array of watercolors which I included in the book as textures an illustrations.
As part of our time machine project, I traveled to the Psychedelic era. This quote is from an exchange between Aldous Huxley and Humphry Osmond while they searching for a new name for the hallucinogens that indicated their mystical and visionary potential. Phanerothyme means ‘to make the soul visible’ and was proposed by Huxley. Osmond had his own idea and came up with psychedelic, which means ‘mind manifesting’ Peter Haining comments, “that is those few lines they had effectively launced the literature of psychedelia.”
